PKS No Problem Coalition With PDIP In The 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election: The Important Thing Is That The Candidate Is Agreeing

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has no problem in forming a coalition with the PDI-P (PDIP) in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub). Most importantly, the candidate who is promoted with the PKS vision.

PKS also brought up the political cooperation between the two parties that had been carried out in the Pilkada. At that time, the PKS coalition with PDIP carried out Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the Mayor of Solo.

"You check who nominated the Mayor of Solo during Pak Jokowi's time, PKS was one of them with the PDIP. So it's not a taboo matter, it's not a problem," said Chairman of the PKS faction of the DPR, Jazuli Juwaini, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, June 11.

Jazuli emphasized that PKS was never hostile to PDIP. Even so, he acknowledged that there were differences in platforms and ideologies.

"I think PKS has never been hostile to any party in Indonesia. Although perhaps the platform is different, we have agreed on all the constitutional Pancasila," said the member of Commission I of the DPR. The Banten legislator emphasized that PKS has no problem in coalitioning with any political party (political party). According to Jazuli, the most important thing is that the candidate can be identified with the party's vision.

"This means that for PKS, the most important thing is that we can form a coalition with any party, here the important thing is that the candidate can touch PKS's vision in serving the people," said Jazuli. Previously, PDIP and Presidential Candidates promoted by PKS in the 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan threw praise at each other regarding opportunities in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The two of them showed mutual interest.

"It's also interesting, Mr. Anies," said PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani at the Senayan parliament complex, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4.

Anies Baswedan apparently answered Puan Maharani's statement. He will see the situation first before drawing conclusions.
