The head of the PDIP Branch Head (PAC) Garoga Sibargot Village, Garoga District, North Tapanuli Regency, Togap Simorangkir (36) was arrested by the police for pointing a gun at local residents.

From the results of the examination by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Tapanuli Resort Police, North Sumatra, it was revealed that the weapon used by Togap was an airsoft gun.

The mugging action was triggered because the victim blocked when the perpetrator brought the victim's employee to work in a field belonging to his colleague.

"It is true that the perpetrator has been arrested and we are detained. The information we received is the perpetrator of the PDIP PAC chairman in Garoga," said Head of Public Relations of the North Tapanuli Police, Aiptu Walpon Baringbing, Sunday, June 9.

Walpon explained that the incident of threats and gunfire took place in Aek Tangga Village, Gagora District, on Tuesday last week at around 18.00 WIB. Initially, the perpetrators of Togap Simorangkir and his colleague Darman Purba came to a resident's house named Ahu Silali.

Then, the two of them forcibly brought two employees who took the sap belonging to the victim Elias Siregar. Knowing that his employee was taken by the perpetrator, Elias' victim chased the perpetrator and found him in one of the stalls in Aek Tangga Village.

The situation is heating up because other local residents do not accept the perpetrators taking the two workers. Not receiving being asked what it meant to bring the two employees of the victim, the perpetrator then took an airsoft gun that was on his waist and pointed it at the victim's head.

The situation at the scene of the incident is getting hotter. Not long after, police officers from the Garoga Police together with the North Tapanuli Police Satreskrim who received information came and tried to reduce the commotion.

To prevent the tantrums of the masses, Darman Purba and the perpetrators of Togap were immediately taken to the North Tapanuli Police Headquarters for further investigation.

"These two employees had worked at a colleague of the perpetrator with the initials DP as the taker of pine sap. According to the statement, the salary from this DP was not smooth, this person moved to another person, to the victim," he said.

In front of the officers, Togap admitted that his actions threatened and pointed an airsoft gun at the victim. The perpetrator also admitted that the cadre was from PDIP.

"Yes, that's right, the PDI-P management," said Togap briefly.

In addition to securing the perpetrators, investigators also secured evidence of one airsoft gun along with ammunition.

Now Togap Simorangkir has been named a suspect and is languishing in the detention cell of the North Tapanuli Police Headquarters, North Sumatra. The suspect is subject to articles on threats whose sentence is above one year in prison.
