PANGKALPINANG - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will issue public mining permits (IPR) in three districts of the Bangka Belitung Islands province so that tin mining communities can legally mine.

"Currently, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is still compiling this IPR technical guidelines," said the Acting Secretary of the Babel Islands Province, Fery Afriyanto, in Pangkalpinang, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 8.

Fery said the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is conducting IPR technical guidelines in three mining areas of the people (WPR) spread across Central Bangka, South Bangka and East Belitung Regencies so that the mining community can mine tin ore properly according to the village and applicable regulations.

"Currently, IPR technical guidelines such as the preparation of norms, standards, procedures, and criteria (NSPK) in the WPR block are still in process," he said.

In addition to the IPR, the Babel Islands Provincial Government also offers solutions for miners through partnership patterns to accommodate mining communities who want to mine in mining company mining business permits (IUP) areas, one of which is PT Timah Tbk.

"This is a scheme of how PT Timah can allocate its IUP area for community mining cooperatives to accommodate the mining community," he said.

He hopes that the mining community will be patient waiting for the IPR technical guidelines and not illegal tin mining.

"Still waiting for the technical guidelines. This is important because it contains regulations for drafting environmental documents to the obligations of IPR holders in implementing good mining rules, especially environmental management and mining safety," he said.
