Zulhas Hands Over PAN Decree Supports Rudy Mas'ud-Seno Aji In East Kalimantan Gubernatorial Election

SAMARINDA - Chairman of the East Kalimantan Golkar Party DPD Rudy Mas'ud and Secretary of the Gerindra East Kalimantan DPD Seno Aji received support from the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the National Mandate Party (PAN) to run in the election for governor and deputy governor in the province.

"This support is the result of the cooperation established in the Forward Indonesia Coalition, which previously won the Prabowo - Gibran pair in the presidential election," said Rudy Mas'ud in Samarinda as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 6.

The head of the Prabowo-Gibran Regional Campaign Team (TKD) for East Kalimantan, stated that the political relationship that was formed between him and Seno Aji, the Secretary of the East Kalimantan TKD, was one of the important factors in getting support in the 2024 East Kalimantan Pilkada.

"We both have the same vision for the progress of East Kalimantan, and this is what makes us get full support from PAN," said Rudy.

Support from PAN is expected to bring fresh air to Rudy Mas'ud in the political contestation in East Kalimantan. Official support letter, known as B1KWK, will be registered with the General Election Commission (KPU) as part of the nomination process.

Seno Aji, who is also a cadre from the Gerindra Party, emphasized that PAN's support was final. He is ready to move on to the next stage.

"After determining PAN support, I had time to communicate with Rudy," he said.

The coalition that was formed will not only be on par with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, but may also involve several other parties.

"We are still communicating with all parties, including Gerindra and Golkar, as well as several other major parties," said Seno.

The two figures also emphasized the importance of the East Kalimantan gubernatorial election in a broader context, including talks about the capital city of the archipelago and the future of the Indonesian nation. They hope that this collaboration will bring significant benefits to the people of East Kalimantan.

This support decision is contained in a Decree (SK) signed by the General Chairperson of the PAN DPP Zulkifli Hasan and Secretary General Eddy Soeparno, Number: PAN/A/Kpts/KU-SI/065/VI/2024 in Jakarta, June 5, 2024.

In the decree, explaining that based on Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors as well as the internal mechanism of the party, the PAN DPP gave their blessing to represent the parties in political contestation in East Kalimantan Province.
