PAN Considers 3 Banten Cagub Will, Airin, Dimyati To Arief Wismansyah

SERANG - The National Mandate Party (PAN) has recommended three prospective governor candidates in the 2024 Banten Governor and Deputy Governor Elections.

Deputy Chairperson of PAN Yandri Susanto said regarding PAN's attitude in the Banten gubernatorial election; no later than PAN will issue a name that will be carried out and its coalition party at the end of June or early July 2024.

Meanwhile, three names were recommended in the Banten gubernatorial election, including Airin Rachmi Diany, Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah and Arief Wismansyah.

"God willing, in late June or early July the PAN DPP decision will be carried by the Banten Governor Election. It could be Arif, Dimyati, or Airin," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 6.

According to Yandri, Banten is one of the concerns of the PAN DPP to win the gubernatorial election and the Pilkada contestation in districts/cities. The coalition in the regional elections is very fluid, can form a coalition with the same party as the 2024 presidential election or not.

"This means that PAN is open with KIM (Indonesian Forward Coalition), outside is okay. The important thing is that the party is promoted by a thorough evaluation with us so that it can win the contestation," he said.

PAN in the 2024-2029 period received 7 seats in the 2024 Legislative Election. This PAN seat acquisition will complement the Banten Pilgub coalition, with a minimum limit to carrying 20 seats.
