Cianjur DPRD Legislative Election, MK Orders Re-voting Title

JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) ordered the holding of a re-voting (PSU) and a re-counting of ballots for the membership of the DPRD Cianjur Dapil Cianjur 3 in several polling stations in Cianjur. The decision was for the PHPU Pileg 2024 case registered with Number 55-02-12/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII-2024. Applicable as the applicant party is the legislative candidate of the Gerindra Party, Hendry Juanda and valid as the respondent party is the KPU RI. "Declaring the results of the votes acquired by candidates for members of the Regional People Representative Council of Cianjur Regency for the Cianjur 3 Election area must be re-voting and recounting ballots," said Chief Justice of MK Suhartoyo in the Court Building Session Room, Jakarta, Thursday, May 16.. In its decision, the Constitutional Court ordered the KPU to hold a PSU at TPS 15 Mentengsari Village, Cikalongkulon District, Cianjur Regency. In addition, the MK also ordered the KPU to hold a recount of ballots for the same membership at TPS 12, TPS 13, TPS 14, and TPS 16 Mentengsari Village, Cikalongkulon District, Cianjur Regency. As for his petition, Hendry Juanda, argued that there was a reduction in his voice and additional votes to his party partner, Gugun Gunawan, by the KPU. The transfer of votes occurred at TPS 12, TPS 13, TPS 14, TPS 15, and TPS 16 Mentengsari Village, Cikalongkulon District due to election violations committed by the Head of Mentengsari Village, Somantri, along with KPPS personnel.
