Call Emil Dardak A Minister's Class, PDIP Hopes Khofifah Will Accept Her Cadres As The Second Person

PDIP is still trying to match Khofifah Indar Parawansa with her cadres as a cagub and cawagub pair in the 2024 East Java Pilkada.

Khofifah currently has a recommendation letter to run again with Emil Dardak from several political parties.

"Mbak Khofifah is everywhere, Mr. Emil Dardak is everywhere, everything is everywhere, the important thing later is that Ms. Khofifah can accept PDIP candidates as the second person, right, the important thing is that," said PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah, Wednesday, June 5.

According to Said, Emil Dardak, who was asked to be the spokesman for Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election, was suitable to become cabinet minister. Therefore, PDIP offered its party cadres to side by side with Khofifah.

"Emil Dardak is already a minister's class, yes. We will encourage our cadres to get a place as a second person," said the member of the East Java electoral district of the DPR.

Nevertheless, Said admitted that there had been no formal discussion with Khofifah regarding the offer of cadres, just a chat.

"That must be admitted, we respect it, because it needs caution, because it involves various cooperation with the party," he said.

Currently, Said said, his party has spoken to political parties carrying Khofifah such as PAN and Gerindra. Furthermore, PDIP will communicate with Golkar.

"If the similarity is achieved, we will talk to Mbak Khofifah. God willing, East Java will be a joke," he concluded.
