PKB Gives A Strong Signal To Carry Bobby Nasution In The 2024 North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) has given a strong signal that it will support Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution to run in the 2024 North Sumatra (North Sumatra) gubernatorial election. Moreover, Bobby Nasution has taken the fit and proper test (UKK) of reading at the PKB DPP office, Jalan Raden Saleh, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

"Alhamdulillah, today Mr. Bobby Nasution is pleased to attend for the UKK and it has also been completed, after Mr. Bobby's fit test will be held in touch with the general chairman. Thank God the signal is very strong, hopefully his presence today brings blessings," said North Sumatra DPW Chairman, Jafar Sukhairi Nasution at a press conference with Bobby Nasution at the PKB DPP office, Jalan Raden Saleh, Jakarta, last Tuesday.

It's just that, said Jafar, the final decision will be made by the general chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin. Jafar is optimistic that Cak Imin will provide PKB recommendations to Bobby Nasution.

"Hopefully, Ketum Cak Imin can inaugurate it but from the language, the gesture has been seen. We are patiently waiting. Hopefully North Sumatra will be able to progress even more, develop more and always protect the Almighty," said Jafar.

On that occasion, Bobby Nasution said that he explained his vision, mission, and program as the North Sumatra Governor in the UKK with PKB Deputy Chairman Jazilul Fawaid. Including, he said, how will PKB cooperate if you become the number one person in North Sumatra.

"Yes, I must have asked about what to bring, like a vision, the mission for North Sumatra to continue to talk about how to build it whether or not," said Bobby.

Meanwhile, Deputy PKB Deputy Jazilul Fawaid or commonly called Gus Jazil said that his party gave a strong signal that Bobby Nasution passed the UKK reading from PKB. The reason is, Bobby is one of the regional heads who excels and is proven to be performing in Medan.

"At least like this, a candidate for governor must have a vision and achievement and Mr. Bobby has shown his achievements during his time as mayor of Medan. Medan City is more orderly, more beautiful, building an Islamic Center in Medan, building a stadium, that's an achievement. It's just a matter of how other areas, especially health, education, will be the focus," explained Gus Jazil.

Gus Jazil said the results of the UKK Bobby Nasution would be studied in depth by the PKB Pilkada Decree. After that, he said, he would be handed over to Cak Imin as the PKB Chairman to decide on recommendations given to Bobby Nasution or read other governors.

"The next stage is waiting for the Desk Pilkada meeting as well as the approval of the chairman of the PKB, Mr. Muhaimin, so the decision letter is from Mr. Muhaimin Iskandar," concluded Gus Jazil.
