Update On COVID-19 As Of March 13: 4.607 Positive Cases, 6.016 People Recovered

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. Based on the results of an examination of 76.914 specimens, 4.607 new positive cases were found.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1.414.741 people", quoted from data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, March 13.

Meanwhile, for recovered cases, it increased to 6.016 people. Thus, the total accumulative cases recovered reached 1.237.470 people.

On the other hand, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 was recorded to have increased by 100 people. The accumulative total of these cases was 38.339 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, provinces with the highest number of positive cases are still in DKI Jakarta. It is recorded that 1.034 people have contracted COVID-19.

Then, followed by West Java with 925 cases, East Java with 346 cases, East Kalimantan with 264 cases, and Banten with 247 cases.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases remains in DKI Jakarta with 1.826 cases. In second place, West Java with 1.591 cases.

Furthermore, East Java with 395 cases, Central Java with 257 cases, and Yogyakarta with 259 cases.

So far, there are 6 provinces that have reported additional cases under 10, including the Riau Islands, West Sulawesi, Bengkulu, North Kalimantan, and Southeast Sulawesi. Meanwhile, there is only one province without positive cases, namely, Maluku.

Furthermore, the number of specimens examined reached 11.558.221. In detail, 11.219.349 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), 157.271 specimens using a molecular rapid test (TCM), and 181.601 specimens by antigen examination.

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 17.35 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 61.103 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
