Gerindra Rekomendasi Ridwan Kamil Maju Pilkada Jakarta, Golkar Masih Tunggu Hasil Survei Kedua

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Golkar Party Lodewijk F Paulus said his party had not confirmed which area Ridwan Kamil (RK) would run in the 2024 Pilkada.

But what is certain is that according to orders from the General Chairperson of Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto, Ridwan Kamil will be pushed forward between the Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub) or the West Java gubernatorial election.

"So Golkar, we for Pak RK are still, he got two assignment letters. The first is the assignment in West Java and then DKI. West Java is certainly an incumbent, meaning that as an incumbent posibility and the survey is quite good for him there," said Lodewijk at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 4.

This was said by Lodewijk after Golkar cadre Ridwan Kamil was recommended by Gerindra to become a candidate for governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

Lodewijk said that no unanimous decision from his party regarding Ridwan Kamil would be pushed forward in the Jakarta or West Java regional elections.

"Then how is he in Jakarta. Now the banners, the billboards are still OTW. So we'll see," he added.

So far, he said, Golkar has conducted an evaluation of the first survey regarding the names of regional head candidates and their placements. After that, there is still a second survey. "We, of course, give certain people orders that are close to the same as decrees. So if the first one is only socialization, now there is an order to look for coalition parties including their partners," he said. Including Ridwan Kamil, said Lodewijk, Golkar is still evaluating to assign the former Governor of West Java. "Pak RK while we see, we are still evaluating where, because in the field it is still very fluid where about Mr. RK wants to be placed, whether in West Java, whether in DKI we are still waiting," he said.

Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that his party recommended the former Governor of West Java as well as a Golkar politician, Ridwan Kamil to run in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
