PKB Instructs 2 Cadres To 'Sell' Electability, The Most Selling Candidate Tickets For West Java Cagub

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) is instructing two of its cadres to compete to increase electability ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada, namely the Chair of the Legal and Legislation Division of the PKB DPP, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal and the Chairman of the West Java PKB DPW Syaiful Huda. Chairman of the PKB Pilkada Decree Abdul Halim Iskandar said that later PKB would choose one of Cucun and Huda to be promoted as a candidate for Governor of West Java, seen from the results of their respective electability "sales". "West Java, our mechanism is standard, both of them we ask for selling. The highest thing that we will sell is whether it's Cucun or Huda. The important thing is that we see how electability is," said Halim at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Monday, June 3. Halim assessed that Cucun and Huda have the same quality and capability to be promoted in the West Java gubernatorial election. Thus, the homework that must be pursued by the two PKB elites is the level of voter electability in the province. "We both have experience that is very proficient in the field of government, understand very well regional problems. So, both of them we provide sufficient space to make efforts to increase their respective electability," explained Halim. It is known, PKB is adamant about looking for incumbent competitors, Ridwan Kamil in the West Java gubernatorial election. PKB Deputy Secretary General Syaiful Hufa said PKB had established communication with a number of parties to fight Ridwan Kamil, who was rumored to be being promoted by the Golkar Party. However, Huda is reluctant to divulge which political parties will be outside the coalition supporting Ridwan Kamil. In principle, he said, the four political parties in West Java would unite to build the axis of Ridwan Kamil's competitor. The political party has also pocketed the names of the cagub and its cawagub. Huda said that in due time the name of the RK competitor would be announced to the public. "Yes, each party has proposed a name and later it will also be exposed. So each party proposes the name of the plan for the axis or coalition of competitors of Kang RK," explained Huda.

Huda emphasized that PKB would only propose the name of the cagub instead of cawagub. Because according to him, the PKB seat in the West Java Provincial DPRD is quite high. "But indeed the position of a candidate for governor, not a candidate for deputy governor. Of course, if the basis is in the configuration of obtaining seats in the West Java Provincial DPRD, it is possible. Because there is a party that is configurationally chaired under the PKB. PKB can take the share of the cagub," he added.
