Palace: Head Of IKN Authority Bambang Susantono Together With Deputy Compact Resign

JAKARTA - Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono and deputy Donny Raharjoe have compactly resigned to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The official chairman bowed himself after sending a letter to the president some time ago.

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno announced the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono and Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni to be the Acting Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority. Both replace Bambang Susantono and Donny Rahajoe who resigned.

"Today, the Presidential Decree has issued a honorable dismissal of Mr. Bambang Susantono as Head of the IKN Authority and Mr. Donny Rahajoe as Deputy Head of the IKN Authority with thanks for his services," said Pratikno, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, June 3.

"At the same time, the President appointed the Minister of PUPR, Mr. Basuki, as the Acting Head of the IKN Authority and appointed the Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN as Deputy Head of the IKN Authority," he continued.

Praktikno did not specify when these two figures would resign. However, Donny Rahajoe, who served as Deputy Head of the IKN Authority, first submitted an application.

"Then some time later the President received a letter of resignation from Mr. Bambang Susantono, from the Head of the IKN Authority," he explained.

Furthermore, Basuki and King Juli Antoni will continue the work left by Bambang and Donny. They were asked to speed up development.

"With the original vision, it remains consistent with Nusa Rimba Raya's plan and provides positive benefits for the surrounding community as well," said Praktikno.

For information, Bambang was inaugurated by President Jokowi in March 2022. Meanwhile, Jokowi plans to hold the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on August 17, 2024, for the first time at IKN.
