JAKARTA - The Batam Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) said that as many as 8,345 Hajj candidates departing from the embarkation had arrived in Saudi Arabia, both in Medina and Makkah until May 31, 2024.

Secretary of PPIH of the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation Muhammad Syafii in Batam, Saturday, June 1, said that the pilgrims for Hajj candidates from the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation who had arrived in Medina and Makkah came from Riau, Riau, and West Kalimantan.

"Until May 31, 2024, we have dispatched 19 groups. Today, the group of 20 pilgrims (JCH) from West Kalimantan will depart for Jeddah," said Syafii, quoted from Antara.

He said that currently the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation had entered the departure of wave two, with the aim of Batam-Makkah.

Syafii said there were 18 groups of departures for pilgrims to Makkah City.

"Alhamdulillah, now it has entered the departure of wave two and quite a lot, there are 18 groups. In wave one, 10 groups with the aim of Medina," he said.

He said the service for pilgrims for the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation Hajj was ending on June 10, 2024, namely dispatching batch 28, JCH from Jambi with the aim of Makkah.

Overall, in the implementation of the 2024 Hajj, PPIH Batam Embarkation serves 28 groups, including the Provinces of Riau, Riau, West Kalimantan, and Jambi.
