Vice President Hopes That The Fast Track Service Of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Will Be Expanded In Many Airports

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin hopes that the fast track service for Hajj pilgrims can be expanded to more airports in Indonesia in the coming year.

This was conveyed by the Vice President when giving a press statement after reviewing the fast track service at Adi Soemarmo Airport, Boyolali Regency, Central Java (Central Java), Friday, May 31.

"We hope that next year it will not only be three airports -embarkasi-, we can add more," said the Vice President.

The Vice President also appreciated the special treatment from the Government of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia.

"The only country that gets three places, three embarrations, is Indonesia. This is a special treatment from the Saudi Arabian government, from there given three, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Solo, it's only Indonesia. This is because Indonesia's relationship with Saudi Arabia is so close and so intimate that we are given -a special treatment," said the Vice President.

Furthermore, the Vice President also highlighted the benefits of the fast track facility, which allows the process of examining pilgrims to be carried out quickly in Indonesia so as to reduce fatigue that is usually experienced by pilgrims when arriving in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The examination process, which usually takes five hours in Jeddah, now only takes five minutes in Indonesia.

"If you check in Jeddah, apart from being tired after 13 hours - or - after 9 hours - the flight - there, then checked for 5 hours, the queue but here only takes 5 minutes at the longest. Imagine, this convenience is extraordinary," said the Vice President.

Meanwhile, regarding the length of time waiting for the Indonesian people to carry out the pilgrimage, the Vice President revealed that the Indonesian government continues to seek additional quotas for pilgrims from the Saudi Arabian government.

He said it was not only an additional 20 thousand quotas, but more than that. This is because the time waiting for the pilgrimage can be up to 50 years.

"God willing, he said - The Saudi Arabian government - will be given that consideration," said the Vice President.

On this occasion, the Vice President also expressed the commitment of the two countries to improve Hajj services so that they can improve from year to year.

"And that is also health services in Saudi Arabia as well as better, housing too. That is the business of our government in order to improve Hajj services," he said.
