Vice President Fulfills Saudi Arabian Ambassador's Dinner Invitation For Indonesia In Solo

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin fulfilled the invitation to dinner from the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Mudi during a working visit in Solo, Central Java.

"Tonight, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is pleased to be invited to dinner by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia (for Indonesia). So this is part of the series of events for the Vice President to come specifically to Solo," said Vice President Masduki Baidlowi in a video caption quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 30.

Masduki said that in addition to fulfilling the dinner invitation, the Vice President on Friday (31/5) in Solo, would also release pilgrims from Solo, Jakarta and Surabaya.

The pilgrims who will be released by the Vice President are special pilgrims who go through a fast track, which is a new breakthrough from the Saudi Arabian government to accelerate the hajj process.

"The vice president asked in the future not only fast tracks in Surabaya, Solo and Jakarta but can be done elsewhere," said Masduki.

The Vice President's dinner with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador, said Masduki, shows good relations between the two countries.

"This is the second time that the Vice President has received a meal invitation from the ambassador of Saudi Arabia. The Vice President was invited to lunch and this time he was present for dinner. This shows the close relationship between the two countries is not only diplomatically official but there is already a kind of special friendship," he explained.
