Be Patient Congestion, Construction Of Water Channels On Jalan Ciledug Raya Rampung November 2024

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is carrying out work on the construction of waterways in Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta using the jacking method.

The work on the construction of the jacking channel starts from the intersection of Seskoal Street through Ciledug Raya Street, to Cipulir Market.

"The jacking channel work is carried out as an effort to deal with inundation in the Ciledug Raya Road area," said Representative for Flood Control and Drainage at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Water Resources Agency, Firmansyah Saputra, in his statement, Thursday, May 30.

The excavation work area takes part of the road, causing severe congestion in vehicles that cross road narrowing.

However, road users on Seskoal Street pass Ciledug Raya Street, to Cipulir Market, must be more patient in facing this congestion for the next six months.

This is because the construction of the jacking channel, which began on May 6, will only be completed until November 30, 2024.

The work is carried out in stages, starting from the construction of the Pile Integrated Test (PIT), the installation of the Reinforce Concrete Pipe (RCP) using the jacking method, and mainhole work.

To support this work, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency (Dishub) carried out traffic engineering at the Seskoal Street intersection to Cipulir Market.

Traffic from these two points is diverted through a median replacement road dividing the road or under the Transjakarta flyover corridor 13.

"So road users are advised to avoid these roads and be able to adjust traffic arrangements, instructions from officers in the field, and prioritize road safety," he said.
