Reflecting On Central Java, Jokowi Takziah Went To The Sharifah Salma Funeral Home, Habib Luthfi's Wife

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for Central Java, Wednesday, May 29, to visit Syarifah Salma bint Hasyim bin Yahya's funeral home, the wife of Habib Lutfi bin Yahya, who died on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

The Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta informed that President Jokowi departed through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, using the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft-1 at around 09.05 WIB.

President Jokowi will land in Semarang, Central Java, then head to Pekalongan Regency to the funeral home for pilgrimage.

Habib Luthfi Bin Yahya is a charismatic cleric from Pekalongan, who was previously inaugurated by President Jokowi as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council or Wantimpres on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Also accompanying President Jokowi on the flight were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

Reporting from the official website of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Central Java, Syarifah Salma bint Hasyim bin Yahya, the wife of Habib Muhammad Luthfi bin Yahya died at around 21:55 WIB at the age of 66 at Budi Rahayu Hospital, Pekalongan City.

The chairman of the Pekalongan City NU Branch, H Muhtarom, confirmed the news of the death of Habib Luthfi's wife. NU really lost a female figure who was close to the community without distinguishing ethnicity, race, or group.

"Everything was well received and very familiar, I hope the late min is a khair expert," he said.

It is known that Habib Lutfi bin Yahya's marriage to the late Sarifah Salma was blessed with five children, namely Habib Balaudin al-Alawi bin Yahya, Syarifah Fatimah Ni'matuz az-Zainta, Syarifah Ummu Hani, Syarifah Fatimah, and Habib Muhammad Syarif Hidayatullah Al-Huse.

According to the plan of the deceased to be buried in the family cemetery in Maqbarah Sapuro Complex, Pekalongan City, today at 14.00 WIB.
