SYL Has Not Been Confirmed To Attend The Examination Of Firli's Extortion Case At The Metro Police Today

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) to Kasdi Subagyono will be questioned again regarding the alleged extortion case of the inactive KPK chairman, Firli Bahuri at Polda Metro Jaya today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

"Yes, all three people, Mr. SYL, Mr. Kasdi and Mr. Hatta. On the same day (examined)," said SYL's attorney, Djamaluddin Koedoeboen, Tuesday, May 28.

Djamaluddin said SYL was not necessarily present at the examination. The reason, he said, SYL will undergo a trial related to the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture.

"Because there is an agenda for the trial at 10 o'clock, every Monday and Wednesday even until the evening it becomes rich for his presence at Polda Metro Jaya, it seems that it may not be this time. Maybe for Thursday or Friday, but that is the authority of the panel of judges," added Djamaluddin.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya officially named the former chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL).

Firli faces the most severe sentence of life imprisonment.
