The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the NasDem Party has given recommendations to six of its party cadres to run as regional head candidates in the 2024 Pilkada.

The recommendations after the plenary meeting of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) were given directly to cadres who would be promoted in Papua Province, Mountains, West Papua Province, Jayapura City, Banda Aceh City, and Dumai Regency.

Head of Bappilu NasDem Prananda Surya Paloh said that the party's recommended cadres were asked to prepare themselves for the Pilkada in November.

"Hopefully the mandate in carrying out its duties both from the provincial and city district levels," said Prananda at NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, May 28.

Prananda said that a number of cadres who had been assigned to run for the election were incumbents. So, he assessed that their performance needed to be doubted.

"The most important thing can be seen maybe from how many achievements they have. I believe in the survey poll they are also above 65 percent," said Prananda.

Secretary of Bappilu NasDem Willy Aditya said that his party would again recommend its cadres to be promoted in other areas, such as South Papua Province, Central Papua, to South Sumatra.

Several NasDem cadres who have been regional heads will be prioritized to be promoted. He claimed that NasDem would not ask for a political dowry from its cadres.

"Never mind the dowry, just buy a stamp, it's been bought by NasDem. So, there's no cost of taking the form and returning the form. Nothing. This is the great thing about this NasDem Party," said Willy.

The following is a list of cadres recommended to be carried by NasDem in 6 regions:

1. Teuku Irwan Djohan (the candidate for Mayor of Banda Aceh)2. Befa Yogibalom (the candidate for Governor of Papua Mountains)3. Paisal (the candidate for Regent of Dumai)4. Jhony Banua Rouw (the candidate for Mayor of Jayapura)5. Sukirman (the candidate for Regent of West Bangka)6. Dominggus Mandacan (the candidate for Governor of West Papua)
