Israel's War Cabinet Reportedly Agrees To Stop Invasion Of Rafah

JAKARTA - A number of Israeli media reports on Tuesday claimed members of the Zionist war cabinet reached a consensus to halt military attacks on Rafah City in southern Gaza, as well as focus more on negotiating prisoner exchanges.

Palestinian news agency Samaa, citing information from Brazil 12 Israeli countries, said Monday (27/5) evening that Israel's war cabinet and security agency agreed to stop the Rafah attack, as well as give priority to the exchange of prisoners with the Palestinian struggle movement, Hamas.

According to the same report, the regime also submitted its response to the ceasefire proposal to mediators in an effort to continue negotiations.

Mediators are planned to deliver it to Hamas. Reported by ANTARA from IRNA-OANA, Tuesday, May 28, the Israeli regime under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not issued an official statement regarding the ongoing cessation of the deadly attack on Rafah, or the resumption of peace negotiations.

For more than seven months the Zionist regime invaded the Gaza Strip, and relentlessly bombarded territory by air, sea, and land.

However, some high-ranking Zionist officials and military personnel, as well as media in the country, have also acknowledged that the regime has achieved nothing but crimes, massacres, destruction, war crimes, international law violations, as well as bombings of aid and hunger organizations in the trapped territories.

Meanwhile, several Israeli media sources said Netanyahu had prepared to dissolve the war cabinet, following Benny Gantz's warning to leave the cabinet.

Previously, Gantz had set a deadline for Netanyahu to ask him to define a new strategy on June 8, which would ensure the return of the prisoners and reduce Hamas' power.

Gantz had warned he would leave the cabinet of war if Netanyahu did not meet the specified demands.
