PPDB 2024, Council Asks Bogor City Government To Provide Complaints Post

BOGOR - Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD together with the Bogor City Education Office (Disdik), conducted socialization regarding the 2024 New Student Admission System (PPDB) to 208 Elementary School committees throughout Bogor City in the Plenary Room of the Bogor City DPRD, Monday 27 May.

The chairman of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Akhmad Saeful Bakhri, conveyed that the socialization carried out was aimed at equalizing the perception and knowledge related to the new PPDB system.

"So this socialization aims to ensure that the latest information related to the PPDB system is known by parents and committees at school," said the man who is familiarly called ASB.

ASB detailed that this year's PPDB is divided into five lanes. Namely the zoning route with a quota of 50 percent, the affirmation route with a quota of 20 percent, the achievement path with a quota of 20 percent, the path for children with special needs (ABK) five percent and the transfer route for parents or guardians with a quota of five percent.

Based on information submitted by Disdik for PPDB in 2024, as many as 21 State Junior High Schools in Bogor City were only able to accommodate 5,792 students.

So it is important according to ASB to adjust the PPDB quota allocation while increasing the number of new schools to increase the capacity for State Junior High School students in Bogor City.

"So there is a change from the zoning which was previously 55 percent, this year only 50 percent. Now we allocate the five percent for the affirmation line. We hope that this can help the absorption of students for poor citizens," explained ASB.

ASB also appreciated the entire committee and guardians of students who attended this socialization event for providing a lot of input and criticism for improving the PPDB system in Bogor City in the future.

He also again ensured that the Bogor City DPRD would focus on supervising PPDB by opening a complaint post.

"So we are very grateful for the input and criticism. Most importantly, we will also oversee this PPDB by opening a complaint post," he said.

Separately, the Head of the Bogor City Education and Education Office, Irwan Riyanto, revealed that this year's PPDB process had started with acceptance through affirmation, then ended with a zoning system in July.

He also conveyed in order to maximize and minimize the occurrence of errors in PPDB. The Bogor City Education Office collaborated with the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil), the Social Service (Dinsos), the Youth and Sports Service (Dispora), and the Bogor City Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud).

"Including the sub-district head and village head, we involve it. If it is related to affirmation to the Social Service, Dispora and Disparbud, it is the path of achievement, Disdukcapil and lurah-camat later in zoning," he said.
