National Working Meeting V PDIP Not Invited By Jokowi, Hasto: Only Those With A Spirit Of Democracy And Law Enforcement Are Invited

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto Rakernas V PDIP will only invite those who maintain democracy and law enforcement.

This was conveyed by Hasto when asked about the presence of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the implementation of the PDIP V National Working Meeting which will be opened on Friday, May 24.

Initially, Hasto said that this activity would actually be a moment to fight the dark side of the ruler who had held the 2024 General Election brutally.

"And it was recorded strongly in public memory, recorded strongly from what was voiced by civil society figures, professors, legal experts and even artists who concluded that the 2024 election was the most brutal election in Indonesia's democratic history marked by various forms of fraud which began with a legal engineering construction at the Constitutional Court," Hasto told reporters at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, May 22.

Therefore, PDIP chose to invite figures who have the same spirit as them. Moreover, the party bearing the bull symbol once had experience fighting for democracy during the new order.

"Of course invited are those, those who have the spirit in maintaining legal democracy, upholding a state of law, upholding democracy that is sovereign by the people," said Hasto.

As previously reported, PDIP will hold a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) V on May 24-26, 2024, at the Ancol Beach City International Stadium, Jakarta. The theme presented is 'Satyam Eva Jayate, Truth Must Win' with the theme 'The Power of People's Unity, The Way of Truth.

It is planned that this activity will be attended by 4,858 participants consisting of all party functions such as the Party DPP; Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer of the DPD and DPC Party; Member of the DPR RI; the party body and wing; Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer of the Foreign Leadership Council (DPLN) from 16 countries.

Then also present were members of the Provincial, Regency/City DPRD; the head and deputy regional head of PDIP; as well as candidates for members of the DPR RI elected non-incumbent elections. Later, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri will deliver a political speech at the opening.
