Penggi Alias Perong DPO In The Murder Case Of Vina Cirebon Becomes A Construction Worker During The Buron

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) revealed that one suspect in the Vina murder case in Cirebon, namely Pegi alias Perong, disguised himself for eight years as a construction worker to eliminate traces.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Jules Abraham, said that one of the three perpetrators who had been fugitives for eight years was arrested in Bandung City on Tuesday (21/5).

"The latest information we got was the current work as a construction worker in Bandung, so we made arrests in Bandung," Jules said in Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.

Jules said investigators are currently investigating the suspect's escape for eight years, including the alleged case of Pegi changing his identity to Vina's murder case.

"We will tell you later, we are still investigating. We will reveal it clearly," he said. The police asked the public to refrain from developing wild issues about the role of Pegi as the main actor in the murder cases of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky in Cirebon.

"Regarding involvement, the role concerned (Pegi) is whether as just the perpetrator, only doing, or as the mastermind or the mastermind behind this case, we are still continuing to investigate," said Jules.

Jules said investigators from the West Java Police Ditreskrimum will work optimally on this case and ensure that this case will be disclosed transparently.

"We are sure that we will be able to resolve this case as soon as possible, please pray, of course, thank you for the concern of all people in West Java," he said.

The West Java Regional Police also appealed to suspects who are still at large to surrender, as well as give warnings to anyone who tries to hide the suspect and can also be prosecuted.
