Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will pray for the bodies of the late president and his entourage at Tehran University on Wednesday morning, Fakhari said.
"After the prayers, the funeral procession for the martyrs was held on the route from Tehran University to Azadi Square," he explained, as reported by IRNA, May 22.
He further explained that all facilities including security and safety factors during the funeral process had been prepared.
According to him, it was provided to hold extraordinary ceremonies for the late president and other high-ranking officials.
"We will once again show the entire Iranian people, from all walks of life, united to represent national solidarity and pursue the ideals of the Islamic Republic system," he said.
