SYL Concerning Indigenous Meaning Please Resign: Not Money But Program

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) expressed his remarks to the director generals (Dirjen) who were asked to resign if they were not in line with money. But the work program.

"Then it was said that what was not in line with me as a minister, resigned. Not thanks to money, definitely not, because the panel tried to ask questions, this was related to the program," said SYL during a trial at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, May 20.

According to him, when he served as Minister of Agriculture, Indonesia faced an unfavorable situation. Therefore, there needs to be an affirmation regarding work programs.

One of them should not have a Director General who only serves in Jakarata. They were asked to make sure the work program went well.

"We are facing an atmosphere where Indonesia is not doing well, sir. So I have orders, among others, there should not be a director-general of echelon I only in Jakarta, 70 to 80 percent must be in the area and check you have work results. If you don't stop you from here," he said.

Not only that, SYL also ensures that it doesn't mess around. Especially about technical issues at the Ministry of Agriculture.

"I am a minister, who takes the trip, what is this operational technical. It doesn't stop there in echelon I, especially when the minister wants to ask where the money is, who gives it to. So, I think this is something I need to explain, sir, because I feel that if this is the case, all of them will be pointed out to the minister," said SYL.
