SYL Kubu Duga Ada Pihak Catut Nama Demi Profit Pribadi

The Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) camp suspects that there are parties who use their names to withdraw money to the Director General at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

One of them was during a request for Rp50 million by Panji, who is an aide to the Director General of Infrastructure and Agricultural Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Ali Jamil Harahap.

"We are sure it wasn't from him (SYL), we are sure. That's why we will sharpen our questions in more detail whether the requests were directly from Mr. SYL or had Mr. SYL asked whether or not they had reported them to Mr. SYL or not," said SYL's legal adviser, Djamaludin Koedoeboen at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, May 20.

It was also emphasized that the request for money was not a direct order from SYL. According to him, there are other parties who deliberately use their client's name to gain personal gain.

"Yes, it's clear (SYL is stuck). Many of us suspect using his name to profit for their personal interests," he said.

In fact, Djamaludin alluded to Panji's assets allegedly obtained from selling SYL's names to officials at the Ministry of Agriculture.

"There are some. There are suitcases, clothes, cellphones, weapons that have been donated to him. There are a lot of others. Just look at what Panji's rich house is in Depok. Billions," said Djamaludin.

Syahrul Yasin Limpo is suspected of extorting his employees of up to Rp44.5 billion during the 2020-2023 period with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

This money was then used for the benefit of Syahrul's wife and family, invited gifts, the NasDem Party, religious events, aircraft charters to Umrah and sacrifices. In addition, he was also charged with receiving gratuities of Rp40.6 billion from January 2020 to October 2023.
