SOLO - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah visited Solo to inaugurate the Talent Corner after opening a Competency-Based Training (PBK) at the Surakarta Vocational Training Center (BLK). The inauguration was also attended by the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Still from BPS data, the unemployment rate for Central Java in August 2020 shows there are 1.21 million people. This figure increased by 396,000 people compared to the previous year.

"There is a quite large increase in the unemployment rate, namely 2.04 percent compared to the previous year and it is estimated that around 3.97 million people of working age have been affected by the pandemic in Central Java Province,"

“Like it or not, there must be significant changes from BLK. Business opportunities should be read well by providing training according to circumstances and needs, "added Menaker Ida.

With this unemployment rate, Gibran hopes that training will be able to provide Human Resources (HR) output that can create new jobs with qualified skills or skills.

"Unemployment is increasing and even many businesses have closed or gone bankrupt. The PBB and Innovation Room are very promising and have good prospects," said Gibran.
