Bali Dispar: The Number Of Delegations Visiting Segara Kerthi Continues To Increase

Head of the Bali Tourism Office (Dispar) Tjok Bagus Pemayun said the number of 10th World Water Forum (WWF) delegates who registered to attend the Segara Kerthi ceremony increased.

"Ini sedang persiapan, nanti yang hadir hampir 2.000 delembaga, ini bergerak terus, kemarin kan Kepala Disbud kata 1.700 tapi sekarang sudah lebih dan bergerak terus," kata dia, dikutip dari Antara, Sabtu 18 Mei.

It is known that the Segara Kerthi ceremony or water breeding according to Hindu tradition is part of the World Water Forum which will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 afternoon on the coast of the KEK Kura-kura Bali area, Serangan, Denpasar.

"The event was there at 15.30 WITA, but at 2 pm we were there, there we prayed together, asking for blessings because there was also a procession, begging for water and natural balance," said Tjok Pemayun.

Dispar Bali assessed that the interest of the world water forum delegation could continue to increase because of the unique culture that can be packaged with art performances, especially since the implementation of the ritual titled Bali Nice took place in the strategic location of the Bali Kurakura SEZ.

Tjok Pemayun said that at the afternoon event, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono were also present.

In addition to the praying rituals, the delegates will also watch cultural performances such as the Labuh Gamelan Gong Gede, Penasar Mask, Sanghyang Jaran Dance, Dedari Sanghyang Dance, Cerakuak Baris Dance, Maya Women's Rejang Dance and Sidakarya Mask.

Later, the Sanghyang Jaran and Sanghyang Dedari dances will be accompanied by a kecak, then the Princess Maya Rejang Dance will be performed with 100 dancers.

As a form of worldly and non-vanishing balance, Bali Nice will be filled with the release of animals into the wild which includes 1,000 hatchlings, 1,000 birds and 5 turtles into the wild.
