Dewas KPK Asked Jokowi To Promptly Appoint Artidjo Alkostar As A Replacement

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK RI) asked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to immediately appoint a replacement for Dewas KPK member Artidjo Alkostar, who died a few days ago. Dewas also sent a letter requesting the replacement to the president.

"On 2 (March) we have written a letter to the President regarding the vacancy of members of the supervisory board," said KPK Chairman Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission III DPR RI and KPK RI at Nusantara III Building, DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 10.

It is known, the submission is made based on Government Regulation Number 4 of 2020 concerning Procedures for the Appointment of Members of the KPK Supervisory Board Article 15 paragraph 2, the Chair of the Supervisory Board is obliged to convey to the President if there is a vacancy of a member of the Supervisory Board, not later than three days after the vacancy.

Tumpak hopes that President Jokowi will immediately appoint a new member of the supervisory board. "At this time the supervisory board is in a condition where there is a shortage of members of the Supervisory Board with the passing of our colleague Mr. Artidjo," he explained.

As is well known, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who was also a former Supreme Court Justice Artidjo Alkostar died on Sunday, February 28 at the age of 72 years.
