The defendant did not show any remorse for the criminal act in this case," said chief judge Muhammad Damis during a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 10. .

"The defendant did not support the government program to prevent and eradicate corruption. The actions of the defendant as a member of the state police of the Republic of Indonesia can reduce the image, dignity and good name of the Indonesian police, "said Judge Damis.

Meanwhile, for consideration of mitigation, Inspector General Napoleon has never been caught in a crime. Napoleon has also served the country for decades.

"The situation was relieving, the defendant was polite during the trial, the defendant had never been sentenced to a crime, the defendant had served as a member of the Indonesian National Police for more than 30 years," said Damis.

Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte was sentenced to 4 years in prison. In addition, Inspector General Napoleon was also sentenced to pay a fine of Rp. 100 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.

Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte stated that the panel of judges was proven to have received money worth 200 thousand Singapore dollars and 370 thousand US dollars from Joko Tjandra through Tommy Sumardi.
