Asked About The Plan To Advance For The DKI Gubernatorial Election, Heru Budi: Many Candidates Are Better

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono views that there are still many figures who have more competence to run in the election for the Governor and Deputy Governor (Pilgub) of DKI Jakarta than himself.

This was in response to a resident of Rawajati Village, who was affected by land acquisition and received compensation costs. The resident hopes that Heru will return to lead Jakarta.

"Many candidates are better, better to push Jakarta," said Heru when met in Rawajati Village, Pancoran District, South Jakarta, Friday, May 17.

However, Heru did not deny the openness of opportunities to advance in the 2024 DKI Pilkada contestation. However, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) emphasized that he did not know how he would move forward.

"The answer, tomorrow is full of mystery," he said.

Previously, Heru was also economical in responding to whether he wanted to run in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Heru left it to fate regarding the situation in the future.

"The Jakarta goal can come from anywhere. So tomorrow is full of mystery," said Heru at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, March 28.

The statement was in response to the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD which considered that the Echelon I ASN was suitable to be the next governor.

Heru did not rule out the opportunity for him to run for the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta. Because, according to him, anyone can become a candidate for governor and deputy governor.

"Here there is Mr. Kasatpol PP, also has the potential. It's called a balloon, a candidate, right?" said Heru.

What is clear, Heru hopes that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada in Jakarta which will be held in the next few months can run smoothly.

"Hopefully it will run smoothly. Voting is also safe. Pilkada hopefully, it will run smoothly," he added.
