Walkot Bandung: Km 149 Gedebage Toll Access Reopens Before August 17th

JABAR - Acting Mayor (Pj) of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono ensured that the construction of kilometer toll access (Km) 149 Gedebage on the Padalarang-Cileunyi toll road can be reopened before August 17, 2024.

"Anyway, before August 17 (toll access) can be used," said Bambang in Bandung, Thursday, May 16, quoted by Antara.

Bambang said the Bandung City Government (Pmebage) has a big plan to develop the Gedebage area, one of which is with more adequate road access.

He said that adequate road access can be a solution to overcome congestion problems in the area, because currently there are several crowded center areas crowded with people such as the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, GBLA Stadium, Tegalluar High Speed Train Station to Summarecon Mall.

Bambang said that currently Summarecon and the local government have inaugurated Jalan Gedebage Selatan as alternative access for motorists to be able to reach the Summarecon area and its surroundings.

He added that with the interest of the community so high towards several destinations in the Gedebage area, good road access is needed so that there is no accumulation of vehicles.

"The inauguration of access to the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque area is important because it is very extraordinary for the public to go there. Then we also have Tegalluar, there is also a new trade center in Summarecon," he said.

Previously, Jasa Marga Senior General Manager Widiyatmiko Nursejati said that for the safety and security of road users since January 1, 2024, the access was closed in and out of KM 149, because damage was found to the road structure.

Road closures are based on the direction of the Ministry of PUPR through instructions from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) on letter Number BM.07.02-P/905 dated December 29, 2023.

"During further investigations by Jasa Marga through Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad carried out security by moving all toll equipment at the location to further information," he said.
