DKI Provincial Government Offers Substitute Profession To Minimarket Illegal Jukir, This Is An Example

Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) Hari Nugroho revealed a number of substitute professions for illegal parking attendants in minimarkets after a raid by joint officers.

If interested, Hari said that the DKI Provincial Government will provide job skills training for illegal minimarket jukir from the professions in question.

"With the assumption that jukir is a low education, of course the profession of security guards, tourers or entrepreneurial skills such as (services) welding, we will prepare it later," Hari said in a short message, Thursday, May 16.

The illegal minimarket jukir that was brought under control, continued Hari, was offered to participate in the training organized by the Manpower and Transmigration Office, both competency-based training, independent labor training, or the Jakpreneur entrepreneurship program.

"Then after training, it will be facilitated regarding information on job vacancies that can be registered," said Hari.

However, Hari emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government first conducts a selection to determine who can facilitate job training.

"We have to have a selection too. Right, it's not certain that they also have a DKI Jakarta ID card. What we teach and train are those with DKI Jakarta ID cards," said Hari.

Joint officers from the DKI Transportation Agency, DKI Satpol PP, and the TNI-Polri are controlling illegal parking attendants in minimarkets for the next month since Wednesday, May 15. After being put in order, they will be given job training.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, hopes that the illegal minimarket jukir can find their respective work skills.

However, Syafrin did not want all the illegal jukir who were put in order to return to being a parking attendant because of the limited number of personnel needed.

"I hope not all of them declare their passion for illegal parking attendants, because we prepare training for them not as parking attendants," he said.

During the inspection of controlling the illegal minimarket jukir, the joint team will ask the illegal jukir to be asked to no longer collect parking rates from people who come to minimarkets.

The illegal jukir that was brought under control by the joint team was operating in minimarkets in separate buildings. Meanwhile, minimarkets located in one commercial area do not become locations for control because they have been integrated with the parking management of the DKI Transportation Agency.

Syafrin said that efforts to control illegal jukir in Jakarta minimarkets in the next month have not been accompanied by sanctions.

"The next 1 month action starting on the 15th is that the pattern is persuasive humanist. This means that what we are doing is in the form of coaching and then educating illegal parking attendants," explained Syafrin.

Then, if there are still wild jukir who are stubborn in raising parking rates to buyers of minimarkets after being raided, they will be punished with light crimes and fines.
