Airlangga Has Not Confirmed Ridwan Kamil, Jakarta Or West Java's Political Steps

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said his party had given two assignment letters for Ridwan Kamil (Kang Emil) regarding the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

"Ridwan Kamil still gave two assignment letters, West Java and DKI," said Airlangga when met at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 15.

According to Airlangga, Ridwan Kamil's electability promises both in West Java and Jakarta.

"We see that both in West Java and DKI Pak Ridwan Kamil promises," he said.

Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of Golkar, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, said that his party had encouraged Ridwan Kamil to run in the West Java Province Regional Head Election (Pilkada), rather than in Jakarta.

"With all our calculations politically and also for the interests of development in West Java, maybe Mr. Ridwan Kamil is more relevant, more useful, more useful for the people of West Java," said Doli when met at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, April 2024.

The Golkar Party DPP assigned Ridwan Kamil to run in the Jakarta and West Java regional elections.

Ridwan Kamil is the only candidate from Golkar for assignment in West Java. Meanwhile, in Jakarta, apart from Ridwan Kamil, there are also the names Ahmad Zaki Iskandar and Erwin Aksa who are being considered by Golkar.

If Ridwan Kamil is really decided to advance to the West Java Pilkada, said Doli, then Golkar will focus on nominating Ahmad Zaki Iskandar and Erwin Aksa for the Jakarta Pilkada.
