Central Sulawesi Police Arrest 15 Kilograms Of Shabu

PALU - Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) arrested a courier with the initials IL who carried 15 kilograms of methamphetamine on the Trans Sulawesi route, Taweli District, Palu City.

"IL, a resident of Sunju Village, Mawawola District, Sigi Regency, was arrested while carrying a two-wheeled vehicle with evidence of 15.450 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine on the Tawaeli bridge on May 11, 2024 at 00.30 WITA," said Deputy Director of Narcotics at the Central Sulawesi Police, AKBP Pribadi Sembiring, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 15.

He stated that the perpetrator was a former convict with a theft case, the results of the investigation were known to be small-scale drug dealers.

"We have monitored and monitored the perpetrators for a long time, when we received information that the perpetrators would pick up goods, we followed them, then we arrested them with 15 packages of evidence in new packages and nine small packages," he said.

Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrator brought evidence of methamphetamine and promised a salary of Rp. 15 million, then the goods were delivered to a person with the initials I in the Tatanga District, Palu City.

"The evidence we have secured is 15 more kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, one cell phone unit, two units of card, two bags and one motorcycle," he said.

Currently, the police are continuing to investigate the case related to the narcotics trafficking network and pursue other suspected perpetrators, including a successful person I who is the owner of methamphetamine.

"The goods are entered by sea, we are investigating whether they have anything to do with international networks and I have been on the wanted list or DPO," he said.
