Heru Budi Called No Need To Give A Wild Work Jukir, That's The Responsibility Of Minimarket Managers

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono plans to provide illegal parking attendants (jukir) at other minimarkets. This is in line with the plan to eradicate illegal jukir in Jakarta minimarkets.

However, according to a public policy observer from Trisakti University, Trubus Rahadiansyah should not have done this by the DKI Provincial Government.

This is because efforts to deal with illegal minimarket jukir so that it is no longer the responsibility of the minimarket manager himself.

"That is not the authority of the provincial government, but the authority of minimarket managers should be because the land is privately owned. He (the minimarket manager) should be responsible for appointing employees to take care of parking," Trubus told VOI, Wednesday, May 15.

So far, Trubus has seen that the minimarket manager seems indifferent to the complaints of people who are often asked to pay for parked vehicles in minimarkets.

"The manager of minimarkets is cunning, naughty. He doesn't want to appoint a parking attendant. Even though it should be his responsibility in the context of protecting consumers," he said.

Therefore, along with efforts to control illegal jukir in minimarkets, Trubus suggested that the DKI Provincial Government need to urge managers to be responsible so that there is no more levy of parking rates to the public.

"He (the minimarket manager) has a consumer. If you don't want to, you just ask people not to shop at minimarkets, they go bankrupt," said Trubus.

Previously, Heru Budi admitted that he would provide new jobs for illegal parking attendants at minimarkets after being alerted to collect parking fees.

"That's one of the problems that must be solved. Yes, we will slowly see, we will also give it, if possible, a job to them," said Heru, Wednesday, May 8.
