NTB Police Hunt For Islamic Boarding School Leaders Suspected Of Perpetrators Of Harassment Of Santriwati

The West Lombok Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara, is hunting for the whereabouts of a leader of a boarding school (ponpes) in the Sekotong area, with the initials MA, who is the alleged perpetrator of harassment against female students.

"Yes, the suspect has not yet been found, he is still being searched," said West Lombok Police Chief AKBP Bagus Nyoman Gede Junaedi as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 13.

Gede Junaedi confirmed that this alleged harassment case was included in the investigation process according to the victim's report.

"So, this case is still being investigated. Apart from looking for the alleged perpetrator, the examination of witnesses and victims is still ongoing," he said.

In addition, the police are currently waiting for the results of the post-mortem of the victim, which revealed that there are more than one female student.

"For intercourse, it will depend on the results of the post-mortem. At this time (visum) we have not pocketed it, we are still waiting for it," he said.

This alleged case of abuse against female students previously received a reaction from a group of people. The reaction was in the form of destroying the boarding school that occurred on Wednesday (8/5).

However, the reaction of a group of people quickly received treatment from the police. Now, Gede Junaedi ensures that the situation at the boarding school is safe and under control.
