Secretary of PPIH Embarkation Hang Nadim Batam Muhammad Syafii said that the Hajj candidate on behalf of Rasyid Ngata Tola was subjected to medical treatment at the Embung Fatimah Batam Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

"Only one person has been postponed due to hypertension and is still being treated at Embung Fatimah Batam Hospital due to hypertension," he said in Batam, Riau Islands, Monday, May 13, as reported by Antara.

He explained that previously all Hajj candidates had carried out final health checks when entering the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation Hajj Dormitory.

In the 2nd batch, there were also 13 prospective pilgrims using wheelchairs and 80 elderly Hajj candidates.

Syafii said that in batch 2, 445 prospective pilgrims were dispatched to Medina, Saudi Arabia at 07.00 WIB.
