Capital Loan Of IDR 24 Billion Bank NTB Syariah Allegedly Troubled, Prosecutor's Office Examines Debtors

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is investigating the statements of debtors of Bank NTB Syariah related to capital loans in the form of financing allegedly problematic amounting to Rp24 billion.

He revealed that one of the debtors' statements included in the deepening process, namely the aviation academy from PT Lombok Institute of Flight Technology (LIFT) which received a capital loan of Rp. 14 billion.

In addition to exploring the debtor's statement in order to find unlawful acts (PMH), the prosecutor's office is also still scheduling the examination of other witnesses from Bank NTB Syariah.

"So, the examination of Bank NTB Syariah is still ongoing," he said.

Financing Islamic banks is a form of funding support for the needs or procurement of certain goods/assets/services.

In the financing mechanism, three parties are involved, namely from banks as funders, providers of goods/assets/services, and parties who use goods/assets/services.

Regarding the problems that arose in financing at PT Bank NTB Syariah, the reporter, namely Professor of Mataram University in the field of legal science Professor Zainal Asikin previously admitted that he also included the findings of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) worth Rp. 24 billion.

In his report, Professor Asikin revealed that the financing issue was related to the "sponsorship" fund of Bank NTB Syariah to support government activities.

One of them, fund support of IDR 5 billion for the MXGP Samota event on Sumbawa Island. According to Professor Asikin, law enforcement officials must examine reports of accountability for the fund support.
