Fishermen In Kuta Bali Found Dead Trapped In Swamps

The funeral home of fishermen who were found dead in the swamps of South Kuta, Badung Bali (IST)

BADUNG - Fisherman named I Made Sudena (45) was found lifeless around a swamp in Banjar Mumbul, South Kuta, Badung, Bali.

"The victim has been taken to the funeral home and the family has accepted the victim's death sincerely by attaching a statement letter," said Denpasar Police Public Relations Head Iptu I Ketut Sukadi, Tuesday, March 9.

The victim is known to have gone fishing in Benoa Bay around Banjar Mumbul on Monday, March 8 evening.

The victim's child did not go home to sea at 03.00 WITA, Tuesday, March 9. Then at around 05.00 WITA, the victim's child checked at the location of the victim going to sea.

"When checking, it turned out that the victim was in a prone position. Then, the victim's child asked for help from local residents to carry out an evacuation," said Iptu Ketut Sukadi.

As to the cause of the death of the victim, the police are still investigating. "It is still being investigated," said Iptu Sukadi.
