The Cirebon City Resort Police (Polres), West Java, arrested the perpetrator of the murder of a woman whose body was found in a cupboard in a boarding house in Kedawung District on Thursday (9/5).
The Head of Cirebon City Police, AKBP Muhammad Rano Hadiyanto, explained that within three hours of the incident, the perpetrator with the initials C (30) was arrested for being proven to have mistreated victim A (21) to death.
"We received a report regarding the discovery of the victim's body at 15.30 WIB, last Thursday. Three hours later we arrested the perpetrator, namely C," said the Police Chief in Cirebon as quoted by Antara, Friday.
He said the murder case began when the perpetrator and the victim met in the boarding house room, after communicating via an online dating application.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cirebon City Police Satreskrim AKP Anggi Eko Prasetyo added that after the report on the discovery of the victim's body, his party immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP) to collect information and collect evidence related to the case.

Anggi said that the perpetrators are now charged with multiple articles regulated in the Criminal Code, and are threatened with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
