Prabowo And Megawati's Meeting Could Disburse Political Tensions

JAKARTA PPI executive director Adi Prayitno considered that the meeting between Prabowo Subianto and Megawati Soekarnoputri could disburse the current political tension without having to be defended by the discussion of the coalition or opposition.

According to him, the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo could be interpreted as a meeting of two political elites. Therefore, the realization of the meeting of the two figures is believed to be able to lighten the atmosphere and political tensions recently.

Prabowo and Mega's meeting doesn't just have to be a coalition or opposition matter. The point is that the elites meet each other to lighten the existing atmosphere," said Adi, Friday, May 10, 2024.

After the KPU appointed the President and Vice President to be elected in 2024, the meeting between Megawati and Prabowo Subianto was said to be imminent. Therefore, Adi considers the opportunity for the meeting of the two figures to remain very wide open.

He revealed that Megawati and Prabowo's meeting would still be pursued by both parties. The realization of the meeting between the two is also not related to whether PDIP is in the government or outside the government.

Even if there are indications that PDIP wants to become an opposition, it does not mean that the meeting of the two figures is not sought. Moreover, from the PDIP elite, there has been a statement that Bu Mega has never had a problem with Pak Prabowo," said Adi.
