A Total Of 19 Teenagers With Sajam Were Arrested By The Police During A Brawl In West Jakarta

JAKARTA - A total of 19 teenagers from various different groups were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team on Thursday, May 9, evening.

They were arrested from two different locations, namely Jalan Karya Wijaya Kusuma Grogol Petamburan and Jalan Kemanggisan Palmerah, West Jakarta. In addition to arresting 19 teenagers, the police also confiscated a number of evidences of various types of sharp weapons.

"We confiscated 4 large sickle-type sharp weapons, 2 golf sticks, 3 arrows and 1 duckcocor blades," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta, AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto when confirmed.

The arrest of 19 teenage brawls began with information that a group of teenagers wanted to fight in the Grogol Petamburan area, West Jakarta.

Then the team headed to Jalan Karya Wijaya Kusuma, Grogol Petamburan. Arriving at the location, the police found a group of teenagers fighting. "We dispersed and secured 16 teenagers along with a number of evidence of sharp weapons," he said.

Subsequently, the police returned to patrol and found several teenagers in the convoy of vehicles about to fight. Then the convoy of vehicles was chased.

"Three teenagers were arrested again along with three sharp sickle-type weapons," he added.

A total of 19 teenagers who were arrested were then collected and handed over to the Grogol Petamburan Police and the Palmerah Police for further investigation.

"We will continue to aggressively carry out regional patrols to provide a conducive situation in the West Jakarta area," he said.

As a deterrent effect, the police will also summon the parents and teachers of these students for further questioning.
