JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will draw up regional regulations (Perda) related to vehicle age restrictions. This step is a follow-up to Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta (UU DKJ).
"We will formulate this in a draft regulation in the form of regional regulations which are in line with the 2024 Law," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, quoted Thursday, May 9.
In Law Number 2 of 2024 DKJ, Article 24 paragraph (2) letter g states the authority to impose age restrictions and the number of ownership of individual motorized vehicles.
Syafrin stated that the process of drafting the regional regulation would involve various related parties.
"We hope to get comprehensive input from all stakeholders because not only the provincial government but also the center we involve," he said.
"Also NGOs from other stakeholders that we hope can provide corrective input to us," continued Syafrin.
