YOGYAKARTA - The 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) will be held in November. The General Election Commission (KPU) will hold simultaneous regional elections in 37 provinces in Indonesia. The nomination of regional heads for the regional elections will begin in early May and August.

Every citizen who meets the requirements has the right to nominate himself in the Pilkada as a participant in the election for governor/deputy governor, mayor/deputy mayor, and regent/deputy regent. So what are the requirements for the 2024 simultaneous regional elections that need to be known for those of you who are interested in advancing in this regional leadership election?

The stages for the nomination of simultaneous 2024 Pilkada participants began in May and continued in August. The general election of regional heads at the provincial and district levels can be followed by anyone who meets the requirements from both parties and non-party parties.

In early May, the nomination process focused on fulfilling the requirements for individual candidacy (non-party). Meanwhile, in August, individual candidates and candidates promoted by political parties must officially register with the KPU in each region.
