Police Arrest 3 Men Predator Children In Indragiri Hulu

INDRAGIRI HULU - Three underage boys were molested by three men in Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Regency, Riau. The depraved act occurred on Friday, last week.

PS Kasubsi Penmas Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Aiptu Misran said the three perpetrators who were arrested had the initials RH (18), ST (42), and SM (22). The perpetrators were neighbors of the three victims. The perpetrators were arrested by the Inhu Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Sunday, May 5 in the morning. Based on the perpetrator's confession, the incident occurred when one of the victims was playing with his friends in the complex yard.

"While playing, the victim told his friend that he had sexually assaulted and had sex with RH and ST. After playing, one of the victim's friends told the story that happened to his friend to his mother. The incident was then reported to the victim's mother," said Aipda Misran, Tuesday, May 7.

Receiving the report, the victim's mother asked her son about the incident. From the victim's confession, he had experienced sexual abuse twice.

"The incident happened twice in April 2024 at ST's house. Not only victims, two other friends also received the same treatment. The perpetrator's mode of inviting the victim into the house and molesting him. One of the victims was also invited to fish, then molested in the oil palm plantation area belonging to one of the companies in Lirik District," explained Misran.

Hearing his son's confession, the victim's mother was angry and reported the incident to the head of the local RW. After that, the family and chairman of RW made a report to the Lirik Police on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

"The perpetrator was arrested without a fight and taken to the Lirik Police Headquarters for further investigation. The perpetrator was charged with Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection," he concluded.
