Acting Governor Of West Java Asks For Special Discussions With Bappenas Related To DKJ

BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jabar) asked for a special discussion with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) related to the Special Region of Jakarta (DKJ).

This, said Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Kalioni Machmudin, is in line with the synchronization that West Java must carry out regarding the Regional Medium-Term and Long-Term Development Plan, which must be drawn up in 2025.

"So of course it will be synchronized, but we ask for a special discussion with Bappenas first about how this is, so that at the time of implementation it does not conflict with the regulations," said Bey, at the Sate Bandung building, reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 6.

The West Java Provincial Government, said Bey, asked Bappenas to do a kind of focus group discussion (FGD) by also inviting the West Java DPRD, as well as related ministries.

"So we ask Bappenas to do a kind of FGD, between the West Java Provincial Government, West Java DPRD, Bappenas and perhaps the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as the Ministry of Finance," said Bey.

The central government plans to carry out DKJ agglomerations involving a number of cities/regencies from three provinces, namely West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten.

The goal is to harmonize the buffer zone of the capital city in synchronizing programs, especially overcoming common problems, one of which is related to flood disaster management.

In addition to the DKJ issue, program synchronization will also be carried out related to the free meal program which is the flagship program for the president and vice president elected Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"But we are waiting for directions from the center, we will certainly support the government's program later everything according to the direction from the center, don't let us run first, it turns out that the directions are different. We will coordinate what kind of trial includes because this is the 2024-2029 program," he said.
