The police are still waiting for the results of the psychiatric specialist examination at the Ciamis Regional General Hospital (RSUD) who checked the psychology of the suspect in the alleged mutilation case in Ciamis Regency, West Java. The examination will serve as the basis for further legal handling.

"Today an examination has been carried out from the Ciamis Hospital, doctor Andi Fatimah, a Mental Specialist, however, it has not been able to decide whether or not it is appropriate for further investigation," said Head of the Ciamis Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Joko Prihatin to reporters in Ciamis, Monday, May 6, confiscated by Antara.

He said the Ciamis Police involved a psychiatrist to check the mental health condition of Tarsum (51) as a suspect in the mutilation of his wife Yanti (40) in the area where he lives in Sindangjaya Hamlet, Cisontrol Village, Rancah District, Ciamis, Friday 3 May.

The doctor, who has carried out the interview process in two, he said, could not conclude the results, the doctor stopped the examination according to the suspect's request, and will continue, Tuesday, May 7.

"For now it cannot be concluded, the results of the psychiatrist tomorrow (Tuesday) morning will be carried out further," he said.

He conveyed that the examination process carried out by the psychiatrist went smoothly, the suspect was known to be able to communicate and was quite cooperative during an interview with the doctor.

"Compared to the beginning, it was more conducive, calmer, less reaction or anything, calmer, occasionally giving doctors an answer," he said.

Furthermore, the suspect, he said, was again detained in a special room or not in one room with other people stumbling over the law.

"Still placed in a separate place to maintain unwanted things," he said.

Previously, the police had examined a number of witnesses, and the suspect's son, then named Tarsum as a suspect in his wife's mutilation case which was carried out in the area where Sindangjaya Hamlet, Cisontrol Village, Rancah District, Ciamis, Friday, May 3.

The suspect's actions made the local community excited, until finally the police arrested the suspect, and took him to the Rancah Police, along with securing evidence in the form of a knife used by the perpetrator to mutilate the victim.
