Buy Snacks Around Schools, 40 Students In Central Lombok Poisoned

Dozens of elementary school (SD) students from Mentokok State, Penujak Village, West Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province are suspected of having food poisoning in the form of snacks.

"The victims are undergoing medical treatment at the Puskesmas," said Penujak Village Head Suhartono in Praya, Monday, May 6, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the victims were suspected of having food poisoning after buying fresh ice and snacks from traders around the school.

After that the victims experienced nausea and vomiting, so they were taken directly to the puskesmas for medical assistance.

"There were no casualties. Some of the victims have been sent home," he said

Meanwhile, the Head of the Penujak Baiq Sirtupili Health Center said that the students being treated at the Puskesmas are currently suspected of having food or hawker poisoning.

"15 people came to be treated, but some have been sent home," he said.

He said, from the information the number of victims was 40 people, but those who were brought to the puskesmas for medical assistance were dozens of people.

Symptoms experienced by the victims were nausea and vomiting and a dizzy head, after buying ice and observant foods sold in front of the school.

"We have been treated and given medicine. There are already healthy ones," he said.

He also said that students who had been poisoned had not yet had breakfast and immediately bought jelly food.

The puskesmas will go to school to conduct socialization and healthy food, so that this does not happen again.

"We will go to school to conduct socialization and provide an understanding of healthy food," he said.
