PURWAKARTA - Secretary General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani said his party was eyeing Dedi Mulyadi to run in the 2024 West Java Provincial Head Election.

"The person next to me (Dedi Mulyadi) is being looked at for the West Java gubernatorial election," said Muzani after opening the APPSI Cattle Contest for the MPR RI trophy in Kemayoran, Jakarta, Saturday, as quoted from his press release.

In this activity, Dedi Mulyadi, who accompanied Ahmad Muzani, participated as a participant by sending five cows from his farm in Lembur Pakuan.

Dedi is one of the best cadres of the Gerindra Party. A number of elements support the former Purwakarta Regent to fight in the West Java Pilkada.

Even some community groups from various elements have declared support for the man who is synonymous with the white head's ticket.

Meanwhile, on a number of occasions, Dedi expressed his readiness to run in the West Java Pilkada.

According to him, currently there is a "hilal" from the Gerindra Party regarding the plan to run for the West Java Regional Head Election. However, the party's decision will only be submitted this May.

Dedi, who is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party's Board of Trustees, said that until now he was still waiting for the Gerindra Party's decision regarding the 2024 West Java Pilkada.

Regarding the choice to return to being a member of the DPR after being elected in the 2024 General Election or running for the West Java Regional Election, Dedi said it depends on the task given by the party.

"If assigned by the party, we must dare to take risks because this is a task. The task is not to mention the position, even the house must be left if it is assigned," he said.
